Horwich and Blackrod Councillor, Stephen Pickup, has welcomed the allocation from Bolton Council of £16 million to be invested in the Boroughs local town centres, including Horwich.

In addition to the housing-led investments into Bolton town centre, which will ultimately mean greater protection to our Green Belt land, Bolton Labour have also announced a £16 million fund to local town centres to create master plans in consultation with local residents and business’s.

The interventions will be targeted at Horwich, Westhoughton, Farnworth and Little Lever, where ultimately they would attract private sector investment.
